Cruise Review

  • Destination: mediterranian
  • Sailing date: 08/06/16
Our taster cruise with TUI Discovery didn't disapoint. Being familiar with Splendour of the Seas it was nice to see the changes that had been made after being given its TUI makeover. The ship itself is stunning with the main atrium – Venue certainly giving off the WOW factor. The Live Room is where we spent each night where we listened to all types of music from a live piano player with to a virtual rock band.

The food was outstanding with new fantastic menus, the main dining room - 47° has a lovely ambience at no time did you feel rushed and lent itself to a very relaxed experience. We also dined in Gallery 47° which was equally as outstanding.

We found the perfect little quiet spot on board to catch the sun while onboard – The Veranda. It is hidden away behind Oceans Spa but when we did eventually find it the quiet coupled with having waiter service, we didn't want to leave.

All in all the ship is definitely the best of the Thomson Fleet that I have been on so far.

Cabin Review

  • Cabin Type: Outside
  • Deck: 3
Our Cabin was nice enough, we had an outside cabin on Deck 3 with a large picture window. The size suited us because, in all honesty, we didn't spend enough time in our cabin to be worried about size.
