    Twin Centre Holidays

Hi Jenna My name is Pauline and I am one of the USA Specialists at Barrhead Travel. I can definitely recommend this combo, but would maybe start with San Diego and work up to San Francisco with LA in the middle. Can you send me your contact details and I can give you a wee call to discuss further? Thanks. Pauline

    Disney World

Great time to go with it being a wee bit quieter as most of the children back at School, so queues not so bad in the Theme Parks. First timers in Florida tend to stay on International Drive if they don't fancy driving - shops, restaurants all on your door step. The I Trolley also runs up and down constantly. Some hotels will offer the shuttle buses to Theme Parks, so make sure you pick one that does as a lot easier. I can recommend some to you also. Villas are also popular, with your own private pool - great way to chill out at night after a long day at the Parks! If you go with a Villa however, you will definitely need a car.

    Your favourite destination?

I know, its stunning isn't it? I think its from the Cosmopolitan Hotel - definitely one I want to stay in next time. I like the idea of the wrap around suites. Pauline

    New York

Hello there My name is Pauline and I'm one of the USA Specialists. February is a great time to go to NYC as prices are very reasonable at that time. I do actually prefer the Winter months to the Summer ones. The atmosphere is really exciting and its great for families to wrap up nice and warm and experience the Ice Skating at the Iconic Central Park!! There are direct flights from most regional airports. Whilst in NYC, the most important thing is location, location, location and I can recommend many great hotels. Pauline

Hi My name is Pauline and I'm one of the Long Haul specialists. I would most definitely agree, Cancun is pretty rowdy at times, particularly with the '18-30' age group so wouldn't recommend for families at height of Summer. Probably one of the best hotels for families is the Gran Bahia Principe in the Riviera Maya area. Thanks.

Hello there My name is Pauline and I am one of the USA Specialists at Barrhead Travel so I can most definitely help you. This is the tour we feature which allows you to see the USS Missouri and the USS Arizona Memorial : Take a memorable if somewhat sobering tour of Pearl Harbour tour which includes visits to the USS Missouri, Arizona Memorial Visitor Center and much more. Also This Oahu tour will take you on a journey through history from the site of the attack on Pearl Harbour to the signing of the Japanese surrender aboard the USS Missouri. See artifacts of the attack at the Visitor Center and ride the Navy launch across Pearl Harbour to the Arizona Memorial, sitting atop the sunken remains of the USS Arizona battleship. The USS Arizona houses the remains of over a 1,000 sailors killed in the 1941 attack and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1989. The USS Arizona Memorial experience starts at the visitor center. Watch an excellent film documenting the attack on Pearl Harbour, spend time browsing through informative displays and learn more about the events that took place here so many decades ago. Then board a US Navy launch ship for the short ride to the memorial itself, which is part of the WWII Valour in the Pacific National Monument. Enter the USS Arizona Memorial and spend time exploring the remains of the ship below you. You can read the names of all 1,177 sailors and marines who were killed on December 7, 1941. Your next stop is a one-hour guided tour of the USS Missouri, the last battleship built by the US Navy, in 1944, and affectionately referred to as "Mighty Mo." Walk the decks and stand on the spot where on September 2, 1945, Japan surrendered, effectively ending World War II. In all, youll spend approximately 4.5 hours at Pearl Harbour. Continue with a narrated driving tour of downtown Honolulu, including a drive through Punchbowl National Cemetery, also known as National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Discover the cemeterys meticulously landscaped acres, and see the Courts of the Missing, the chapel and the finely detailed mosaic maps of the Pacific theaters of action in World War II.
