Your funniest/most embarrassing holiday story

Recommended Posts

I can't say I've got any real clangers but I've broken bones on more than one holiday. Wedges, cobbled streets and rioja are not a good mix!

I was on a fab work trip few years ago in Thailand. We visited this amazing Elephant sanctuary in Kanchanaburi.

Anyway, i was covered in mozzie bites so couldnt partake in the "Fun time with the Elephants", which took place in the lagoon as the water was dirty.

I volunteered to capture this moment on the Ipad for everyone which was amazing, but unknown to them, but clearly seen by me and the ipad was

that every one of these elephants decided to empty their bowels while they were in the pool swimming with them. My colleagues were in awe while i was in hysterics.

Top tip--Never swim with kids or animals:D

Many years ago, my husband, myself and 2 children were staying in a mobile home in the South of France,  a massive moth the size of my hand flew into the mobile home, and myself and the children ran out side. leaving my husband  to deal with it with beach mat in hand, after a lot of banging and bumping and a few short world later my flustered husband popped his head around the door, saying " it must have flown outside can't find it anywhere". with some relief we all went back inside. My children and I started laughing, because my husband was sitting on the moth and he was looking at us  with a blank expression. The kids still laugh at it todayxD
